Within Club Penguin Online players are rewarded frequently with in-game rewards via codes to hallmark achievements, events, and holidays. However, there is a process to redeem these rewards that require a player to login and enter the code into the Treasure Book. Below the process will be shown step by step using both the new and old client, and common errors will be debunked.

2. Once you enter your login credentials and are on the server selection screen click this icon, "Unlock Items"

3. Now you will enter Treasure Book selection screen, you need to select "I've got a Code" option.*

4. A text box will appear and you will be able to enter your code. After you enter your code exactly as it appears in the announcement, press "enter"

5. If your entry was correct you will be congratulated and will see images of your rewards. From there you can continue on into Club Penguin Online or enter another code if you have one. The example code used here was: DISCORD70K.

  • Please note that the option when entering a code, "I've got a Book" does not work in Club Penguin Online due to this being a CPPS, and not the original CP. This option original was linked to a database that CPO does not have and will never have. For now, it is a dead end.

2. When you click on the "Unlock Items" icon, you will immediately be taken to the login page.

4. A text box will appear and you will be able to enter your code. After you enter your code exactly as it appears in the announcement, press "Done"

Troubleshooting

Oops! The code you've entered is incorrect. Please try again. This is the most common error. There are multiple simple issues that could be causing the incorrect flag to appear.

Simple Issues

  • 1. Source. Where did the code come from? If it is from the CPO Discord announcement page #cp-online, CPO Twitter Page, or CPO Wikia/Fandom Page, then it is an authentic code. However, other third parties promising codes or coins for CPO are not to be trusted.
  • 2. Spelling - Always check the spelling of your entry into Treasure Book. When in doubt, try copying the entry into the into the text box directly from the announcement or wiki page.
  • 3. Using the New Client vs Old Client - There are often errors that can pop up when entering codes with the Old Client. Try the New Client instead.

Advanced Issues

  • 4. Browser Issues - Rarely browsers and the data they store about websites can mess up exchange information between your computer's browser and CPO. Try clearing such things as temporary files, cache, and cookies. If this fails, use another browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.

A: Then the code's rewards have been added to your account and use them. A code will not work more than one time.

  • Q:I haven't used the code before.

A: A bug has occurred and needs to be reported to #bug in the CPO Discord. You can try refreshing your browser or using a different browser.

Oops! The code is too short. It must be at least 9 characters. Using the New Client vs Old Client - There are often errors that can pop up when entering codes with the Old Client. Try the New Client instead. The Old Client tends to refuse codes, like PRIDE18, due it being less 9 characters. If a player uses the New Client, this code will be accepted without error.
The code you have entered has expired Certain codes are set to expire after an event or specified date. Several instances of this have occurred, including the coding JANUARY2019, which was only good for 24 hours after its announcement.
